Completely disappointed... On Tuesday, I called to inquire about the baby group for my 3 and 4-year-old daughters. Salud answered very politely, gave me information, and told me to bring the girls in today for a trial class.
Today, I went with both my daughters. As soon as the woman at the studio saw my 3-year-old, she rudely said, "No, she can't, she's too young" (even though they told me on the phone there was no problem with their age). My daughter immediately stood behind me and said, "See, I was right, she's too young." What does she expect when she speaks to a child she doesn't know like that? She let my 4-year-old in. When the little one saw her sister go in, she started crying because she wanted to join. I insisted, and she reluctantly let her in, saying, "We don't come here to have fun, we come here to learn a choreography." I don't know what she expects from children that age, honestly... I expect my children to go somewhere where they can have fun and learn.
Five minutes after I dropped them off, she called me saying the little one was crying. I went to get her, and her eyes were red from crying, but she was already calm. She didn't even let her settle in before she was already calling me to take her back. The older one was there the whole hour and came out saying she didn't want to go back. It's no surprise, given how she treated us at the beginning. I don't even want to imagine how she teaches the classes... If they have a baby group for toddlers, they need to know how to handle them, and it's clear they don't have a knack for it here. They want professional dancers. I absolutely do not recommend this association. I hope that because of "professionals" like these—if you can even call them that—children don't develop a dislike for dancing.
