About the neighbourhood: Málaga-Este

The Eastern district stretches along the coast from La Malagueta beach to the village-like fishing quarter of El Palo. It contains some of the city's most distinctive areas: La Malagueta (urban beach next to the port), Pedregalejo (palm-lined seafront paseo, traditional espetos), El Palo (working fishing community and casual chiringuitos), and El Limonar / Cerrado de Calderón (residential hillside with sea views). Local buses 11 and 34 connect the entire strip to the city centre. The seafront promenade is continuous and walkable end-to-end.

The library is fine, but there are many aspects that need improvement. First, it's shameful that a place of study doesn't have Wi-Fi for people who want to work or study there, making it difficult for residents of the neighborhood to use the facilities efficiently. Furthermore, the opening hours leave much to be desired; it's unacceptable that it's only open two afternoons a week and the rest of the week for such limited hours. Finally, the study rooms need better lighting, as it's quite dim.
It would be advisable to improve all these aspects, as I believe the neighborhood is the future, and there's a lack of investment in the generations who will shape it.

The librarian demonstrates a lack of professionalism bordering on rudeness. He uses every means at his disposal to prevent users from accessing library loans, to bore them into not renewing their loans.

What a fine way to promote reading from a public employee whose salary we are paying and whose primary function is precisely that... It's a disgrace, a complete lack of professionalism.

A small but well-stocked and comfortable library; one of those places where it's a pleasure to sit and study or simply read the newspaper or the excellent selection of magazines available to users. Located in the beautiful Malaga neighborhood of Pedregalejo and very well connected to the city center and other parts of Malaga, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff are also noteworthy.

They've been helping my children with their books for years, and the service has always been excellent. I decided to write today because I had a problem with my library card, and they were especially kind and resolved it very efficiently. THANK YOU.

The library has a wide variety of books and DVDs. It has several floors: the ground floor, which houses a study room (not suitable for claustrophobic people); the ground floor, where the restrooms and children's room are located; and the first floor, which contains the main reading room, study area, and computer room. There aren't many electrical outlets in the main reading room, and the internet hasn't worked properly when I've needed to use it. This could be improved.
The staff is friendly and helpful.
