Centro Médico Sanitas Málaga

I don’t understand all the negative reviews about this medical centre! I’ve received very good care, never waited long, doctors are young but eager to do a good job, the receptionists aren’t always friendly but I dare anyone with their workload to keep smiling all day especially to foreigners who are living in Spain without making the slightest effort to even learn Spanish…
And the doctors are cute which doesn’t hurt haha

Absolutely disgusting service.
Arrived for an appointment to be told we called you and e mailed.
I am a Sanitas client.
The doctor is in theatre he can’t do your appointment. Later I find out as he only had 3 appointments he went home!!!
45 min drive each way…
There was no email.
The number they had was incorrect.
But… on the application and at Sanitas it is correct.
There is no excuse.
I now have to wait 3 hours for another appointment. 6 hours total
The saving was the office manager who eventually found another appointment
I do expect better when paying so much for this service

Not recommendable at all in my opinion, especially not to foreigners. I am a UK national living on the Costs Del Sol and have used this center on multiple occasions as it is a convenient distance from my house. I do not make my review in anger nor in spite as i have been here over 20 times and never left a review until now. I have visited at different times during the day and it doesn't alter, i now feel i have given them significant opportunity use the excuse of "had a bad day".

1) *They hardly ever answer the phone*. I have been calling for over 2hrs without answer. I walked to the clinic and called while i was in the waiting area. the two girls on reception were talking the whole time and the telephone could be heard ringing. A nurse came out of the nearest consultation room (Consultation 1?) and joined in on the conversation while the phone did not stop ringing. Blatant ignorance and carefree attitudes. (Here they call it chulas y bordes) Again i say the only receptionist that act correctly and makes you feel welcome and a PAYING PATIENT (lets not forget that this is NOT a FREE SERVICE) is the slightly older lady that normally sits on the closes desk to the door! She is great!

2) I will not go into specifics as i don't want them to treat me worse when im there, but i also have caught them in blatant lies about time frames for results and samples. Both the receptionists and the nurse.

3) The reception staff (except for one more mature lady) are all young and most act as if they are doing you a favor attending your question. A sensation of borderline arrogant and giving you the quickest answer to get rid of you and back on their mobile phone. I had one case where i approached two receptionists together to ask a question, interrupting them, one answered and when i asked follow up question the other girl gave a sharp exhale and sighed a bit louder than i think she had wished.

4) As a rule the doctors are very young, recently qualified I'm guessing, and not very empathetic here! They are always late so expect a wait/delay of 20 mins at least, (better than the receptionists and nurses), but at times, depending on who attends you, there can be the sensation of trying to get you back out the door as soon as you have sat down. I was given some medication in an APP and not told how to administer it. Crazy

It is a shame because the center is lovely and well decorated and presented. Has on-site parking and easily navigable. It is not far out from the center of malaga and close to the metro station palacio de deportes. Quite sad to think that i PAY a PRIVATE HEALTH SERVICE 100€ a month for this treatment and sensations.

I love this medical centre. It’s clean, organised and punctual. Never a bad trip or visit with whichever medical professional I have visited. I have knocked one star off because the receptionists should be able to speak basic English at an international Sanitas medical centre. It’s usually so common to have at least one person who can speak another language. The communication is always hard with them and they are also not that helpful or cheerful. All great otherwise!!

I have a problem with immune system , allergy. I saw a young dr who had no clue what a mast cell (immune system cell is) not to mention mast cell activation syndrome . Unbelievable that one google search is enough to know what this is. So how do this place expect people being treated wheb the so-called drs don’t have a clue about simple immunology
