Me and my family went visited Clómada last night for dinner. It was such an amazing experience, the interior, atmosphere, food and drinks were all spectacular. The sommelier recommended a beautiful bottle of white - the food was top quality and our waiter was amazing at explaining every single dish and all of the small details. All the staff were amazing but big praise to our waiter - we did not catch his name but he was from Bolivia, he was amazing!

My partner and I went for dinner in January after this restaurant was recommended by Michelin. I hate to say it, but it honestly very disappointing for the whole expericence. I’ve never been that let down by a restaurant of this level.

We went for the tasting menu (9 dishes, €90 per person), but the disappointment started as soon as we sat down.

1) First impressions matter: No one offered to hang our coats or give us a stool for our bags. Most other guests had this taken care of. We asked later and they helped, but the first impression already fell short.

2) Sommelier: He seemed unfamiliar with the wine list and a bit unsure, which made it hard for us to appreciate the wines properly. Maybe it’s just his personality, but it came across as unprofessional.

3) Caviar Missing, Experience Broken: One dish had caviar. Mine was missing, while my partner’s portion was fine. When we pointed it out, the waiter just gave me a spoonful. So we raised it again, and the waiter took my plate - but didn’t check whether my partner had finished theirs before taking it. We assumed he would bring two new portions, but he only replaced mine. Surprised once more, we had to explain that, since we were sharing the tasting menu, all affected guests should receive complete portions to enjoy the experience together. Finally, after this back-and-forth, the waiter took my plate again and later served both of us proper portions. For a Michelin-level restaurant, this handling was really surprising and frustrating.

4) Food: Not bad, but almost everything was served as a soup or in a sauce. It just got monotonous and felt like there was a lack of creativity.

At the end of the night, one of the waiters did apologize for the experience, which I appreciate - but by then the impression was already set. Mistakes happen, and no restaurant is perfect, but having food, service, and experience all go wrong at the same time is a big problem.

My husband & I were traveling Andalucia & always select Michelin rated restaurants when we travel, as we both enjoy good food, wine & service. Clomada was our best dining experience of the trip. The cuisine is a fusion of Spanish & Ecuadorian (the Chef is from Ecuador). They offer both an ala carte & 9 course tasting menu. We chose to "build our own" tasting menu from several ala carte items including: Amelie Oyster; Gildas Clomada (tuna, pacharan, goat cheese); Locro Croquette (corn & potato soup), followed by the Ceviche with peanut sauce, avocado & coriander, and the Grilled Foie with corn cake & white chocolate sauce. We were very happy to create our own menu & the flavors were beautifully balanced, with incredible tastes & textures. With the help of David, the Sommelier, we chose wines to pair with each course. For dessert, we shared the Roasted Apple in Cider on basque cake & vanilla pastry cream. To compliment dessert, we chose a delicious 10 year old Sauterne. The service was exemplary, provided by Jennifer & Rodrigo. The ambiance was elegant, yet modern in feel. Chef Claudine Paulson knows how to excel in providing the perfect dining experience.

We visited this restaurant for my birthday (14.01.2026). We selected set of dishes for tasting (9 dishes, 90 euros per person). The food was delicious. Food serving was also very good. Staff speaks English, provides good and attentive service. The only thing I was very disappointed was the following: as I had a birthday, I asked a waiter about birthday cake (usually all restaurants provide a piece of cake with candle for birthday) and he told me that they don’t have it. Really? Restaurants of such level can’t present a dessert with candle for their client who has birthday? This is very strange and disappointing.

We had a beautiful experience at Clomada last night. Superb food and topnotch service. We will book again to try the tasting menu.
