Visiting time: mid-April 2026.
The Narciso Díaz de Escobar roundabout fountain (quite a long name😊) is a monumental ensemble located in Malaga Park. It was previously called the "Roman roundabout" for short.
Anyone who has visited Barcelona and Park Güell will be reminded of Gaudi's style. The design is characterized by wavy benches decorated with a mosaic of broken tiles. The area around the fountain is a quiet and shady place, surrounded by lush bamboo and palm trees, so this place should be sought out specifically.
The ensemble is completed with two classical (Roman) sculptures and benches that invite you to relax in a monumental setting.

In the “Parque de Málaga” there is a beautiful fountain with a long name “Fuente de la glorieta de Narciso Díaz de Escovar”. It was built of white marble in 1860 and consists of a fountain sunk into the ground. In the middle is a shaft decorated with grooves and palmettes and above it a shell-shaped basin decorated with four satyr heads, which are also water spouts. Behind the fountain is a bronze bust of the official chronicler of the city of Málaga, Narciso Díaz de Escovar, from 1932, on a pedestal. The benches in the park are inspired by the architectural style of Antoni Gaudí in Park Güell in Barcelona – they have wavy backrests and are decorated with mosaics.
