We arrived at the Cathedral around 3 pm hardly anyone in line. We bought our tickets for $10.00 euros each. At first I thought this was a bit much for a visit to see a church however once they provided the audio guide I thought okay reasonable.

This Basilica is just a beauty it’s elegant, it’s detailed, it’s just so big you must take your time in each spot to enjoy every masterpiece of art. Plus to go to each chapel and pray is another great beautiful thing to do. Share your thoughts and prayers with the lord.

I wish there was a mass when I went to visit however we did not get to view this. Many visitors there however plenty of space. The beauty where the choir is. We were there for about 1.5 hours just a great time to learn about this beautiful place.

Santa Iglesia Catedral Basílica de la Encarnación de Málaga is one of the most impressive landmarks in the city — grand, elegant, and full of character. The moment you step inside, the soaring columns and beautifully detailed ceilings make a strong impression. The mix of Renaissance and Baroque elements gives the cathedral a unique personality, and the interior feels both majestic and peaceful.
There’s plenty to explore: the chapels, the choir stalls, the artwork, and the architectural details that reward slow, careful wandering. Even if you’ve visited many cathedrals in Spain, this one still stands out for its scale and craftsmanship.
The exterior is equally striking, especially the famously unfinished second tower, which gives the cathedral its nickname ‘La Manquita.’ It adds a bit of charm and makes the building instantly recognizable.
Whether you’re interested in architecture, history, or simply want to enjoy one of Málaga’s most beautiful spaces, this cathedral is well worth a visit.

Málaga Cathedral is one of the most impressive historical landmarks in the city and an absolute must-visit. Built over several centuries, it beautifully reflects the transition from Renaissance foundations to breathtaking Baroque details. Walking through its grand entrance feels like stepping back into Spain’s rich past.

The interior is magnificent, with elegant chapels, intricate carvings, and an atmosphere of calm and reverence. The Baroque elements, especially in the decorative altars and architectural ornaments, are truly remarkable and show the incredible craftsmanship of the era. Every corner tells a story, and the sheer scale of the cathedral makes it unforgettable.

A perfect place to admire history, architecture, and the timeless spirit of Málaga.

Short story:
Took 250 years to build but was never completely finished because of generous people of Spain that instead used their funds to help American colonies acquire freedom from British Empire.
This can be seen by one of the towers that is missing the final pieces on the top.

Really big and nice cathedral in the historical centre of the city. Unfortunately there is no open space in front of it so you dont see it in its beauty. Nevertheless in was a great visit and the tickets are worth seeing it inside. I recommend buying the tickets online beforehand
