We were on holiday in Torremolinos and rented a car there. At first glance, it seems great because this rental company offers parking, but don't be fooled. All that glitters is not gold! The cars there don't receive any maintenance. It's like playing the lottery. If a part breaks down while you're using the car, you have to pay for the entire repair yourself. That's what it says in the Spanish contract you have to sign. This rental company keeps a €300 deposit. In our case, they kept the entire €300 because we supposedly damaged the clutch by improper use. My husband, 51, and I, 45, are both experienced drivers and motorcyclists – I think we know how to operate a clutch. It's best to rent a car elsewhere.
