Helle Hollis Car Rental

We had an excellent experience renting a car from Helle Hollis in Málaga. From the moment we arrived to Málaga airport, the complimentary airport shuttle to their office was quick, smooth and professional.

Both pick-up and drop-off were fast and hassle-free.

The car we got was clean, modern, and exactly as booked. I particularly appreciated the transparent pricing—there were no hidden fees or aggressive upselling for additional insurance, which is unfortunately common with some car rental companies.

The fuel policy was fair. You get the car with a full tank of petrol and you have to pay for it. But, believe it or not, you gonna get  reimbursed for every drop of fuel what remained in the car at the drop-off.

According to the size of the petrol tank of the car we rented, we were charged a 100 euros at the pick-up and were reimbursed with 29 euros after drop-off.

Communication before and during the rental was clear, and everything was well organized. Returning the vehicle was just as easy as collecting it, making the end of our trip completely stress-free.

Overall, Helle Hollis offers great value for money, honest service, and a reliable rental experience. I wouldn't hesitate to rent from them again on my next visit to Málaga and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy car rental company.

My late father discovered Helle Hollis in the late 1980s when he and my mother started holidaying regularly in Mijas. We've used them as a family ever since, most recently last week. We just LOVE them. Always so friendly and efficient with excellent quality vehicles. Our most recent hire was a nearly brand new Mercedes 7 seater with space and comfort for us plus our adults kids and their partners. We wish all car hire companies were this fabulous!

Everything was perfect with Helle Hollis in Malaga. The whole process was smooth and hassle-free from start to finish. It was very easy to take the airport shuttle bus to and from the Helle Hollis office, making both pick-up and drop-off convenient.
The vehicle collection and return were extremely straightforward, and the staff were friendly and efficient throughout.

One tip for future customers: complete the digital documents before arriving. This makes the check-in process much faster and helps you get on the road without delay.

Overall, an excellent experience and a company I would happily recommend to anyone renting a car in Malaga.

This was my first time using this car rental company. I usually rent directly at the airport with companies like Sixt or Europcar, so I was pleasantly surprised.

The only downside was the waiting time for the shuttle bus on arrival. Competitors’ minibuses were arriving every 7–10 minutes, while here I had to wait around 20–30 minutes.

Other than that, everything was excellent. The car, the service, and the drop-off process were all very good. The car was clean and exactly what I had booked.

Also, if you take full insurance, it is much cheaper than with other companies, and no deposit is required — which is a big advantage.

Overall, a great experience and I would definitely use this service again.

I was really happy with Helle Hollis. Picked the car up from the airport and was able to return it at their office in Fuengirola. The car was very good and staff were helpful. There was no pressure to buy added insurance (which I had sourced elsewhere.) Drop off was super easy. There is no 'scratch hunting/investigating' process to go through as with many of the other Spanish rental companies. I handed the keys over, they guy came out to car just to check the petrol level, and then immediatley refunded the deposit etc within a few minutes. I will definetly use them again in the future.

Only slight improvement I would sugest. The drop off in Fuengirola was not immediatey obvious. It is a small office on the side of the road, and its not clear where you can park the car. I cricled the block a couple of times before seeing the office and a staff member outside who I waived down who told me where to park. It would help to have some information on the site, or a leaflet in the car, telling you eactly where to park. Its a small thing, and overal was very happy.
