Spanish Hotel is undoubtedly one of the best options for accommodation. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by a warm and elegant atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional, always ready to help with a big smile. The rooms are spacious, modern, and maintained to an impeccable level of cleanliness, which is essential for a relaxing stay. Furthermore, the breakfast is diverse and offers fresh products that reflect the delicious local gastronomy. The location is unbeatable, close to the main points of interest. I recommend this hotel 100% to anyone looking for quality and great service.

This property likely has bed bugs. The girls in the room with me had multiple bites, and when I pulled back the sheets to inspect the seams I found the telltale signs of their feces. I did not see any, but as a warning to other travelers, please be careful with this property. I’m getting my luggage professionally treated after staying here.

I stayed for one night on 7 March 2026. The staff was okay, though not very friendly. The check in process was a bit long as I needed to wait for the registration staff to go upstairs to make the bed for me. I stayed in a four-bed room and my roommates were not noisy at night. However, some other seemingly long-term residents (male, around 40-50 years old) used Spanish to yell at me after I got out of bathroom after shower. They seemed to tell me not to occupy the bathroom for too long even if I just showered for 10 minutes. There is another toilet (but smaller, and without shower) available to use on the same floor. It was so selfish and rude to tell other residents to shorten the time to use the toilet (especially when their use time is already short) just because of the unwillingness to use the small toilet.

The location of hostel was also inconvenient as it was not close to any train or metro stations in Málaga. 20 mins or more walk is required to reach Malagueta beach or Gibralfaro castle.

First of all, the staff have very bad energy — not just one person, but several of them. A simple smile seems like too much effort for them.
Second, and this is honestly beyond ridiculous: I paid to stay there, which means I also paid to have my belongings there. I had one backpack and one suitcase. Because my room was all the way upstairs, I asked if I could leave my suitcase in the storage area. That was fine at the time.
Then, at the end of my stay, they told me I had to pay extra for storing my suitcase.
I have stayed in thousands of hostels all over the world, and never in my life has anyone tried to charge me afterward for storing my luggage while I was a paying guest. If I had left the hostel for several days to go hiking or travel elsewhere, and they clearly explained there was a storage fee, that would be understandable. But that was not the case.
No one informed me. No one mentioned any extra cost. And on top of that, I was already paying to stay there. Then they suddenly expect more money because “it’s written somewhere on a piece of paper in a room.” That is not acceptable.
On top of all this, the hostel is mostly occupied by people who work there or stay long-term, so they act like the place belongs to them. They make noise early in the morning, talk loudly, shout in the rooms, and have zero respect for other guests trying to sleep.

Nooo hot water no place to put stuff when you shower.........
This place is a joke and does not feel like a real hostel at all. If you are a traveler or backpacker, do not stay here

These are dishonest and indecent people. I told them I’m on my way from the airport for check in. I arrived exactly at 22:00. No one opened the door and they also cancelled the second night of my booking.
