Hostal Esperanza

Fabulous budget accomodation on the seafront in unspoilt Benajarafe. Everything was perfect for the price point. Although we didn't use the pool it looked very inviting. The kindness and helpfulness of the receptionist Ilia was second to none, a lovely person who was very happy to recommend places to eat etc definitely to repeat!

A nice and quaint hostel just a stone throw away from the beach. The location is fantastic and is perfect for people who want to enjoy a holiday by the sea.

The hostel has a pool area that doesn’t seem very crowded at any time of day and the rooms are decent with a good air condition-system. Our only nitpick is that there’s no minifridge in the room.

The huge negative aspect of staying here is one person, the woman at the check-in. A pretty rude and negative person who made weird remarks both at check-in and check-out and would barely say hello to you when you walked through the lobby. Her english was pretty broken so as a non-spanish speaker it was hard to understand wether she was being serious or joking at times. At times we felt very uncomfortable around her.

Otherwise, location and rooms were great and if you don’t mind being micro-bullied by a spanish lady, this is a good location for you

Lovely service at the desk. Room was a little small, but the balcony and a view was lovely, cleaning service was excellent. Shower and small bath tub.
The swimming pool looked lovely but was closed for the season. Anyways we didn’t need it because the sea was 2 minute walk. Sandy beach, very big and clean. We were super lucky with the weather for the end of February and could even jump into the water a few times.

Just come here and feel your spirit raised thanks to their really warm treatment of customers. They were so nice and the homemade was delicious. Their chicken wings with bbq sauce, which is quite something. Thank you for amazing treatment of customers.

Perfectly fine accommodation. Motel like. Great location across from beach and near restaurants and local shops. Open late as we didn't arrive till close to midnight. No problem. Nice looking pool and plenty setting up to relax around it in the morning. Great with no frills.
