Hotel El Paraiso

Basic no frills hotel but in a good location facing the harbour. Room was spotlessly clean, shower and bath great, beds comfortable. Thought it was pretty good value for EUR 70. I paid 10 extra to have a sea view and to avoid rooms facing the main road. Quite a few bars and small cafes within walking distance for evening meals.

Like many do, we used this hotel as a stopover along the coast road from Malaga. We arrived at 2am and was greeted by a friendly receptionist. Really swift check in and in the room to get some sleep.
First impression was that it was VERY clean. It may be dated but the fixtures and fittings are quality and well looked after. In the morning we were greeted by a beautiful marina/sea view, a proper ‘welcome to Spain’. Our breakfast was taken at the cafe downstairs which was lovely…have the orange juice!
Thanks for making our first night, after a late flight and drive, a comfortable one. It was a lovely Spanish welcome.

Our stay here was perfect! We're coming back again next summer.

Location: This hotel is right across the street from the water in the heart of Caleta de Vélez. It's ca. 35 min from the Málaga airport and was really easy to get to. When you walk out of the hotel , there is a paved walking path and bike path that goes for many km. in both directions up and down the beach. So many great restaurants within a 1-5 min. walk. We particularly enjoyed D'escart, which was right around the back side of the hotel. The town was for us the perfect combination of a local Spanish coastal community and some fun things for tourists to do.

Hotel: I know this says it's 2 stars, but - for Americans in particular - this is not an "American" 2 star hotel. The rooms were really nice, comfortable with everything we really needed. Our bed was really nice, firm, and we slept so well. The view was to die for. It was a spectacular, unobstructed ocean view with a private balcony. It's worth it to get an ocean view room... Our room was cleaned and made up perfectly every day.

Hotel Staff: Sebastian, Mari, and the night gentleman (whose name I did not get), greeted us like they were welcoming us into their home. We really appreciated that they always greeted/acknowledged us every time we came and went. They were super friendly and available for any questions we had or recommendations we needed.

We invited ca. 20 friends to celebrate with us for a few days, and everyone in our group mentioned this hotel and how great it was that we stayed here. We will be back!

Great place. Perfect location and very clean. Very helpful and cheerful staff. When the" Honky tonk cats" play at Camarote restaurante i always stay at this hotel. Bonnie and Clyde

Decent budget hotel. If staying here get a beach view room for a quieter life.
