Hotel Maria Cristina

Nice clean hotel. Beds were not so much mattresses and they were very thin pads with no padding and uncomfortable (not-so-cotton) sheets. The rotating room next to me was a very annoying presence into the wee morning hours, hence not much sleep my last 2 nights. Checked out a day early to Barcelona and will stay with a friend.

Amazing staff and location. I was able to go to the beach on a whim and had everything I needed within 10 minutes walk. Staff helped me sort out a problem despite it absolutely being my mistake and was incredibly gracious. I cannot recommend this place enough!!

I have purchased few nights from this hotel from August to September. The location of the hotel is excellent and about 30 minutes away from the Malaga Costa de Sol Airport. It's beside the beach and takes about 2 - 3 minutes to walk.

The rooms itself is decent and very clean. The room service is very good which comes with a routine rotation if you want your room to be cleaned and neatly tidied while you're out.

Most horrible smell in the room, everything from the walls to the furniture was covered in a layer of filth. Bed is old and sheets and towels are probably used for years. Could not sleep because of noise and feeling claustrophobic from the disgusting environment of the room. Reminding more of a place people come to shoot up than a hostel. Worst place I have ever stayed.

We got there at 11.30 pm, once in our room we found out the shower was broken.
We went to the receptionist, who asked us to wait 10 mins for her colleague to come and check.
After half an hour, as no one came to che check, we decided to go back to the reception where we found the new colleague who came into our room to check the shower.
He then told us to wait him 10 mins so he could go and get the spare piece to change the shower head.
When he came back, he told us he couldn't find it and that the owner would have come in the morning to check it out.
We made him notice that it was the only night we were spending there and that in the morning, we would have left very early (7 am) and if it was possible to have another room but he said no.

We tried to ask for a refund, but they refused it.
