Excellent! we went to Ronda on a raining day and just got the kid and his buggy out of the parking garage.Tired and totally wet, in desire of good food.
The Taberna is just on the ground surface with less than 1min walk from the garage. It was full of local people, a good signal for right decision. We waited for like 20min for a bigger table. Ordered some tapas for like 2-3€ each and some mains less than 20€. Really quickly served. Big portions and every one is absolutely tasty.
I strongly recommend the ox tail (rabo de toro) and the shrimps in spicy garlic oil (langostino a pil-pil). Thick in flavor, normal price, we can tatse the freshness of the ingredients. The hamburgers are mini in size but not in flavor. Small but complete, made out of fresh salads and grilled meat, some caramelized onions and berry sauce add sweetness to the savory taste of the meat. And 3€ each.

I can continue but it’s too long. We spend 58€ for 4 drinks, 7 tapas and 2 mains. Come here if you are in Ronda, you won’t regret.

I ordered ox tail stew and there were a lot of human hairs underneath of baked potatoes …it was my first time to see a lot of hairs on food in my life .
It could be not by mistake it could have done on purpose .

I forgot to take a photo but it was either many short hairs or one long hairs ..
However I calmly asked them to remove the potatoes .. waiter offered me to change to new one but I was too hungry to wait so I asked him to remove the potatoes only .

However after that ,,, I found another eye rush under the meat…I did not inform him anymore …but I took a photo this time ..but it was too tiny that you could not see ..I regret I did not take first photo .
No proper apology was made at the first stage .

The food was tasty so I ordered latte and dessert.
But after the one sip of latte , I suddenly did not feel well.
I doubt of drug was contained that’s why I immediately left the place in the end .
I did not touch dessert at all .
Bill was charged fully .

I asked for the help in another shop and they let me rest for a while .
They encouraged me to report the police and go to hospital but I did not go because I needed to leave Ronda very soon .

Please be careful if you go alone .
I hope it was not scammed but obviously something wrong with this restaurant ..
I appreciate the owner investigate whole staffs or police investigate this restaurant ..

Absolutely fantastic restaurant in Ronda! We loved their pork cheek tapa and the oxtail entree. All of the other tapas we tried were also delicious as well as the local white wine. The staff was friendly, polite, and accommodating. We will be back the next time we are in town!

Amazing tapas lunch. Located in a beautiful square La Taberna is a wonderful place to relax with some delicious tapas, after a morning’s sightseeing. Attentive and friendly service together with outstanding value for money makes this an exceptionally good restaurant. The menu is wide-ranging with helpful allergen information (essential for my own lactose intolerance). Alas, we were only here for a day, as we’d love to return. One day hopefully. Recommended. Thanks.

Exceptional service, small warm inviting decor, the walls are lined with old bull fighting photos and stories. We had tapas, gazpacho, and coffee. The food was fresh and nicely prepared, but perhaps a bit ordinary. The location faces the church and plaza and is surrounded by wonderful shopping and the historic town center.
