Just by luck! Day trip to Nerja, and we were hungry, so with no chance to look at reviews, this place caught my attention, and we decided to give it a try. What a fantastic eating experience. The food was delicious, outstanding, and a great value.

The Prawns al Pil-Pil came in a steaming-hot dish, and the flavor mix the shrimp was in was so darn good we ended up dipping our bread, octopus, and everything else in it until we had no sauce left – ha. Burrata was great, Chicharron’s were above average, and Octopus was really good. The server Jose was the best of the best, and we only wish we lived close to it because we would come eat here a few times a month. Incredible value and experience!

This place made us wonder how much it costs to buy positive reviews on Google Maps (perhaps by bots etc). The service was very friendly but slow and not really attentive. We waited almost an hour for paella that tasted like absolutely nothing. When you sit at the tables in the street on a weekend evening it is incredibly loud and busy (like at all restaurants in that street). Nice if you like people watching but be prepared to fend off street sellers trying to make you buy their fake watches, bags, jewelry etc. every few minutes. All in all, we found the restaurant to be surprisingly overrated and wouldn’t go back.

We absolutely loved our experience here! Everything was perfect: the food, the service, the atmosphere. You can truly feel how much love and care goes into every dish. The flavors were incredible, the portions generous, and the staff were wonderfully kind and welcoming.

A place full of warmth, great energy, and unforgettable food. Highly recommended!

I visited Lacal twice during my stay in Nerja, and it was excellent both times.
The service was impeccable, with great attention to detail, and the place has a very cosy atmosphere. I tried the patatas bravas, octopus leg, and vegetable rice (paella style) – everything was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it if you’re in Nerja!

Nice restaurant, it was really quiet when we arrived in the afternoon. But a couple that also stayed in the b&b suggested it. It weten nice and very good tapas dishes. We didn't had top much hunger so we only ordered two tapas dishes. The patatas bravas are only half a portion and it was more than enough. Friendly staff. Should try of you're in Nerja.
