Very disappointing experience with Yellow Car Rental Malaga.

The car we received was clearly in poor condition from the very beginning. During the entire rental period, the check engine light kept turning on and off, which made us constantly worried about the vehicle's reliability and safety. The car was old, worn out, and obviously not maintained to an acceptable standard.

The worst part happened on the day of our departure. The battery suddenly died, leaving us stranded and causing a very stressful situation. We almost missed our flight because of it. A rental company should never provide vehicles in such poor technical condition.

The only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 is that the staff at pickup and drop-off were efficient and polite. Unfortunately, good customer service cannot compensate for an unreliable and poorly maintained vehicle.

Providing customers with cars that show engine warning lights and end up with a dead battery is simply unacceptable. A complete disappointment.

Having read the reviews for most of the hire car companies at Malaga airport, it was difficult to find a company that had good reviews until we came across Yellow Car.

We hired a car for 5 days in Mar 2026 and the service we received was excellent.

We were met at the airport by a Yellow Car representative, completed the forms and then he walked us to our car about 2 minutes away. There was no extras hard sell, the price we were quoted online was the price we paid and included all the insurances!! 😀. A nice change from other car hire companies we have tried.

The car was a Corsa which was in good condition and with a full tank of petrol.

The return process was easy. There’s a petrol station right by the Yellow Car office, so re-filling prior to returning the car was not a problem. A Yellow Car representative drove us in our car from their office to departures. Took about 20 minutes in total from filling up to walking into departures.

I would definitely use this company again next time we’re in Malaga.

Great service from Yellow Car – Car Rental Malaga. We rented a small Fiat Panda for 9 days, and the pick-up process was very smooth: someone was waiting in the arrivals area and handed over the car directly after completing the paperwork and deposit. For the return, we simply stopped at their office just outside the airport, and a staff member drove us to the departure terminal.

The price was excellent, and the car was clean and in good technical condition. It was fully insured, and we received our deposit back the next day.

My husband and I have recently starting using Yellow Car to hire cars from Malaga airport having been recommended this company by friends. The service received on each occasion has been exceptional and far beyond any other car hire company we have ever used. Booking online is very straightforward. We are greeted at the airport by a friendly representative who carries our the paperwork and takes payment quickly and efficiently and we are on our way in our hire car in minutes - no having to check the car over at the beginning or end of the rental which takes out all the hassle. And after delivering the car back to the Yellow Car office at the end of our trip we are driven back to the airport terminal - again within minutes. The rental cost is also very good value and to offer pick up during night hours for late flight arrivals for a small fee is such a bonus too. We can recommend this company highly enough!

The best. No hidden costs, no extra hustle. They meet you in front of the terminal entrance, fill the paper, escort you to the car which is already prepared and parked nearest parking spot.
Credit card (even via Apple pay) or deposit.
Drop off - either come to office, they drive you to airport or leave the car in the airport parking for late drop off.

Personal is kind and respectful.
Car was clean and fresh.
