What an interesting and eye opening experience! The site of this truly awe inspiring megalithic burial structure, has been developed thoughtfully and with great care. Access caters for all individual needs. The information centre and museum is informative without being overly academic. The instructive video brings the building of the dolmen alive. This is a fine example of how a historic site can, and should, be managed. And all for free! Thank you

As the Traveling American, I eat, wander, and chase the old bones of human history. Dolmen de Menga is one of those places that reminds you just how young we really are. You arrive, watch a short ten‑minute film that sets the stage, then step out into a landscape where time feels thick enough to touch.

Two dolmens sit here, one large, one smaller, both carved out of the earth by hands that lived thousands of years before the idea of Europe even existed. Menga is the oldest dolmen on the continent, and standing inside it feels like stepping into the ribcage of an ancient world. If you’re into archaeology like I am, this isn’t just a stop, it’s a pilgrimage.

Walk both sites. Let the silence do the talking. Let the stones remind you that people have been building, dreaming, and burying their dead long before our modern noise. It doesn’t take long to see it all, but it stays with you.

If you’re anywhere near Antequera, go. This is the kind of history that grabs you by the collar and whispers, “Remember where you came from.

Feels like something out of the flint stones. Much more impressive and older than Stonehenge . Entrance looks toward the rock formation that looks like recumbent face . Site and museum are worthy trip and FREE.

Such an interesting experience, and it's completely free! As long as the weather is nice, you'll be treated to absolutely unbeatable views

If you like local history, this is worth a rest stop. It's free, you do have to go in to the museum to get your free tickets and tell where your from, but that gives you access to nice toilets to. We didn't spend much time here, but it was a nice rest and a great walk around the museum and out to the toms.
