Our stay at Hotel Ritual Torremolinos was a solid 10/10! We had a wonderful time and would recommend it to everyone. It is a very LGBT+ friendly hotel, making us feel completely relaxed and safe.
The location is absolutely fantastic – just a 5-minute walk to the beach, and right across the street, you’ll find the center with clubs and the charming old town with its shopping promenade. I honestly don’t understand the negative reviews. Yes, the hotel has an artistic and unique style, but the negative comments are a bit much – the decor has its own original vibe!
The staff were always helpful and smiling. The food is simply divine: delicious breakfasts and exceptional dinners. We were also pleasantly surprised by the free taxi transfer included in our booking. Despite our worries about noise, it was blissfully quiet. There’s a gym, a hairdresser, a fantastic SPA, and a naturist zone on the roof. Cleanliness was top-notch, with daily cleaning and a stunning view of the pool and sea. Even with an early checkout, we received a breakfast box. We will definitely be back!

Clean, but soulless: Avoid at all costs!
While the hotel is technically clean and quiet, it is completely devoid of charm. It’s a total "hidden fee" trap: €10 for a towel, €50 for beach access, and another €10 for the spa. The food is mediocre at best, but that’s not even the main issue.
The Real Dealbreaker: A Toxic Atmosphere
The biggest problem is the complete lack of hospitality. This place is anything but welcoming.
Rude Staff: The breakfast crew is miserable—not a single smile or friendly word.
Power-Tripping Security: While I was sunbathing on the rooftop, the attendant aggressively berated two men for "playing around" in the pool. I get there are rules, but there's a way to speak to guests.
The Hypocrisy: It’s especially rich for a hotel to act this rigid when they literally hosted the "Gay Porn Oscars" just a week prior.
The Verdict: Zero warmth, constant upselling, and a bad attitude. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I would give 5 stars as this is a great hotel, a little more attention to details and would 100% recommend.

Was my first stay here as a gay couple, found the staff super friendly but small things were annoying and easy to fix...

We had a great breakfast selection but one day the bacon was black and the next day bearly cooked, the milk in the scrambled eggs one day was curled and the chef tasting could pick them up easily. Aside from this the selection was great.

The infinity pool on the roof was a naturist zone and wasn't always enforced. The bar was supposed to open 1130 as the roof opened at 11 but sometimes didn't open till 12 which was frustrating as you couldn't take your own water up there, not the staffs fault as they were run ragged being the only one up there and having to deal with till issues, broken parasols and lack of stock. Priority of the beds should be given to residents with the day visitors being given access Later from 12

We booked late and were given a disabled room. No ones fault but unfortunately the lack of curtain in the shower made the painted tiles slippery and dangerous.

We were told the spa was open 0900 till 1400 and 1700 till 2100, this incurred an additional cost of €10 per hotel guest and wasn't a daily charge but per session am/pm this could easily be absorbed into the room price and added to the day visitors

In fairness none of this was reported to the hotel at the time but you don't need to come on holiday and start listing issues.

Our cleaner Marivit was amazing such a lovely, friendly woman and Marianno upstairs was a ray of sunshine.

It sounds like I'm being negative but not overall was 95% positive review but the small tweaks can make this place so much better

This is not about the hotel.itself but about eating at this place. Friendly but not recommended if you are looking for a place to eat lunch.
Unfortunately, lunch at Hotel Ritual in Torremolinos was a deeply disappointing experience and far below expectations, especially for an €18 menú del día. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience genuinely deserves honest feedback because the quality of the food urgently needs attention.
The biggest issue was the food itself. The selection felt poor, uninspired, and lacking in quality. Presentation was careless and unappealing, giving the impression that very little attention or pride had gone into what was being served. One particularly frustrating example was a tuna salad that arrived without the tuna actually included in the salad — it had seemingly been forgotten and was served separately on the side. Small details like this reflect a lack of care and quality control in the kitchen.
More broadly, the meal felt as though there was no passion, creativity, or love for food behind it. For the price, the experience simply did not justify the value. A menú del día does not need to be luxurious, but it should at least feel thoughtful, fresh, and properly executed.
To be fair, the service staff were friendly and polite. Both the waitress and waiter were welcoming and professional, and the venue itself appeared reasonably busy, so there is clearly potential. Unfortunately, good service alone could not compensate for what was, in my opinion, a very poor food experience.
Sadly, this is not somewhere I would return for Sunday lunch, nor somewhere I would recommend based on the food quality experienced during this visit.

I stayed at this hotel and I do not recommend it at all — absolutely not, not, not.

I left my card in my room and 50 euros were stolen from my room, and my card details were also compromised. I want to repeat this very clearly: money was stolen from my room and my card details were taken. I had 50 euros in the room and they disappeared.

This is absolutely unacceptable and terrifying. When I reported this at the reception, I was told that it was not their problem and that they have no cameras in the hotel, which is shocking for a place that is supposed to be safe for guests.

On top of that, the rooms are old, outdated, and poorly maintained.

Overall, this was a horrible experience. I do not recommend this hotel under any circumstances.
