Hotel San Francisco - Ronda

Hotel San Francisco in Ronda was such a lovely find. It’s a really cute, authentic-looking hotel right in the heart of town. The location couldn’t have been better for exploring; you step outside and you’re immediately in the atmosphere of Ronda.

The rooms were pleasant, clean and a good size, especially considering how charmingly narrow and traditional these buildings are. It felt comfortable and well kept.

A special mention to the receptionist who checked us in and was also there at breakfast; she was incredibly warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming. After a few experiences elsewhere in Andalusia where communication in English / broken-Spanish felt like an annoyance to staff, it made such a difference to feel completely at ease and looked after.

Breakfast was also very good, with a solid selection: yogurts, meats and cheeses, fresh orange juice, pastries, breads, biscuits, cereals, plus cooked eggs, sausages and beans in tomato sauce. A great start to the day.

Would happily stay again.

Had a wonderful 3 night stay here the last weekend in April. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are big and clean. The hotel is quiet. Great views from the terrace. Highly recommend you stay here.

We stayed here for 2 nights as we explored Ronda. We were pleased with the 4 person room: the ventilation was great, the bathroom was clean, and the beds were comfy! The location was fantastic and the price was reasonable. Gracias!

Stayed for 2 nights. Great location and decent breakfast buffet for 9 euros but that's where the positives end.
Bed and pillows were too hard, bed was small, a/c didn't work, shower head was broken, low water pressure, toilet didnt flush properly, room was small with a sloped attic ceiling. Parking is in an underground public parking lot for 15 euros/day which you pay the hotel otherwise it's more expensive.
I would not stay here again, but loved Ronda!

Excellent hotel for bikers. 5 stars for having a garage area for storage, washing and doing simple maintenance on your bike. What a luxury.
The room was comfortable and clean, and we didn’t have any neighbor noise. The air conditioning was working well.
We took the breakfast extra and although it has a limited selection we didn’t have any problem in filling up for the day’s biking.
Very good service and helpful to show you where to go in Ronda.
Perfect location and a short walk to the gorge.
