About the neighbourhood: Cruz de Humilladero

Densely populated residential district just north-west of the centre, between Carretera de Cádiz and Bailén-Miraflores. It contains the main long-distance bus station, the wholesale food market (Mercado Mayorista), the football stadium La Rosaleda and several large supermarkets. The area is mainly mid-20th-century blocks of flats. Two Metro Málaga lines run through it, and the Cercanías commuter rail stops at Victoria Kent. The district is not a tourist destination but is well-connected to the centre in under 15 minutes.

It's a magical place! I've been going to the workshop for two years now, and it's beautiful—the materials, the atmosphere, the people. Without a doubt, the best part is the teachers. They always have everything spotless, and beyond their extensive knowledge, they have a unique warmth and kindness. They make you feel right at home and support you in whatever way you need at every stage of the process. It's my weekly therapy!

We were on holiday near Málaga, and Susana recommended we take a mini pottery workshop. It's like going back to childhood, molding clay and getting your hands dirty... It's incredibly relaxing, and you laugh at what you create with your classmates. Susana and Pilar, in our case, explained all the techniques, from using the tweezers and wetting the clay to all the ways to paint your finished piece.

In short, if you're on holiday in Málaga, don't hesitate to spend a morning or two learning the art of pottery.

Thank you so much, Susana!

I gave my niece the gift of making her own mug, and it was a huge success. Susana was incredibly patient with us and gave us plenty of time to make sure everything turned out perfectly. It was a wonderful afternoon and a really cool activity!

I love this place! Not only do they have gorgeous handmade pieces, but they also offer fantastic pottery and ceramics classes and workshops.

The teachers, Susana, Pilar, and Larisa, are wonderful—always so kind and patient. They really help you learn and create your own pieces. The atmosphere is very relaxed and fun, perfect for spending quality time and unwinding. Plus, the space is really cool and well-equipped.

If you enjoy ceramics or pottery, or want to try something new, this is the ideal place. Highly recommended!

La Trenza has been my favorite place for the past few months. I stumbled upon it by chance to try it out with a coworker, and since then I can't live without my moment of relaxation and creativity.
Pilar, Larisa, and Susana are magical fairies who make every piece I set my mind to seem like a piece of cake. If you're looking for a pottery workshop with good vibes, this is the place for you!
