About the neighbourhood: Churriana

Originally a village to the south-west, now part of Málaga municipality, sitting between the airport and the foothills. Churriana keeps a recognisable village centre with the Iglesia de San Antonio Abad and the Casa-Museo de Gerald Brenan. The area is bordered by the Guadalhorce river and includes the Jardín Botánico de la Concepción on its northern edge. Easily reached from the airport (under 10 minutes) and from central Málaga by the A-7053 road and Cercanías rail at Aljaima.

I’ve always loved IKEA kitchens, but I would not recommend buying one through IKEA Málaga.

We ordered our kitchen in January. The planning appointments alone took five hours, and they still delivered the wrong items. The first installation slot was late April. It is now the end of July and the kitchen is still unfinished. The installers repeatedly failed to show up, left the job half done, damaged some cabinet fronts and IKEA customer service has done nothing to resolve it.

For some perspective: I was 3 months pregnant when we ordered this kitchen. Two weeks after the installers disappeared, our baby was born. She is now 2 months old, and we still don’t have a finished kitchen.

The strangest part? IKEA delivered four replacement cabinet fronts, only to send another team a week later to collect them again. Nobody knew why. It perfectly sums up the complete lack of communication throughout this process.

A terrible installation and after-sales experience.

Terrible customer service.
I was sold this FITTED sheet for one of their OWN mattresses.
It was far too big, and completely useless.

Worst of all, their new returns policy will not rectify the problem because it was opened. HOW CAN THEY DO THIS????

For a company that makes over a billion in profit, this is disgusting behaviour.

The worst French fries I have ever eaten. I also ordered “typical menu” with meatballs. It has no taste at all. Gave me stomachache afterwards.

It was so sad to see a lot of people and families have the same menu.

The only good thing was the ice cream.
I hope my review helps others.
